Tribute to Honor King Rama I
Where: Uthai Thani Stadium , Uthai Thani
The ceremony is held annually on April 6th with light and sound performance to honor Phra Mahachanok and booths selling OTOP products.

Poy Sang Long Festival
Where: Wat Pang Lor, Chong Kham, Mueang, Mae Hong Son
Poy Sang Long Festival or the ceremony to ordain beloved sona is a Thai Yai ancient ceremony. Thai Yai people believe that the ordination is the first step for showing gratitude to mothers.

Hat Siao Elephant Ordination Ceremony
Where : Wat Hat Siao. Hat Siao, Si Satchanalai, Sukhothai
See the procession of ordination ceremony on the back of beautifully decorated elephants, on which persons who are about to be the ordained as Buddhist monks will wear black sunglasses and dress up exquisitely in colorful Thai Phuan clothes.

Amazing Songkarn 2017
Where: Benchasiri Park , Bangkok
Main events in the festival are tradition show,  the ritual to sprinkle water on Buddha image, and booths selling products.

Si Satchanalai Traditional Festival
Where: Sukhothai Historical Park ,Sukhothai
Watch sand pagoda building competition, vintage carriage parade, Miss Songkran Beauty Contest, local sports contest, and local entertainments.

11 – 13 April 2017
Songkran on the Beach Festival
and Phuket Bike Week 2017

Where: Patong Beach, Saphan Hin, Phuket
Join in the food offering and the merit making and the ritual to pay respect to the elders by pouring water onto their hands and asking for their blessing, watch Thai classical dance, Songkran Kid Contest, Miss Songkran Beauty Contest and enjoy splashing water in Songkran Festival. There are also Motorcycle Exhibition, music show, Miss Phuket Bike Week Contest, tree planting campaign to stop global warming and Riding for peace activity.

Nakhon Phanom Songkran Festival 2017
Where: Khao Pun Road, Nakhon Phanom
Enjoy water fights on Khao Pun Road, have a taste of Khao Pun, a specialty food in Nakhon Phanom. Watch local sports competition, Sabatoy or a pitch-and-toss gamr. Make an off-season offerings to monks. Carry on the tradition of both sides of Mae Kong River, uniting 2 Pra That (Phra That Si Kottabong and Pra That Phanom).

Hatyai Midnight Songkran
Where: Odeon intersection, Sanehanusorn road, Niphat Uthit Road 3 and Wat Mahattamangklaram, Hat Yai, Songkhla
See Miss Songkran Beauty Contest and enjoy splashing water in Songkran Festival.

12 – 15 April 2017
Nakhon Si Thammarat Grand Songkran Festival
Where: Si Thammasokarat Public Park Phra Isuan Hall , Nakhon Si Thammarat
Watch the Nang Daan procession, join the ritual to Sprinkle water on Buddha Sihing image, enjoy Southern region cultural performances and light and sound show.

12 – 15 April 2017
Chiang Mai Songkarn Festival
Where: Chiang Mai municipality
Join in the food offering and the merit making, watch the parade of Miss Beauty Contest riding on bicycles in traditional costume while holding local umbrellas, The Contest of Lanna 5 Offerings, the activity to “carry on the tradition and retrace Chiang Mai New Year”, paying homage to the Buddha’s relics, pouring water to Phra Sirimangkhalacharn and the tradition of building sand pagoda.

13 – 15 April 2017
Krung kao (Old City)  Songkran Festival
Where: Ayutthaya Historical Park , Ayutthaya
Join in the food offering to 500 monks in front of Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit, releasing birds and fish. Enjoy Miss Songkran Parade from local organizations, sprinkle water on elders to ask for their blessing, sprinkle water on Buddha image and celebrate Songkran with elephants in the historical park.

Bang Saen Sand Pagoda Festival
Where: Bang Saen Beach, Chon Buri
Activities in the festival include sand pagoda competition, local sports competitions such as Saba (a pitch-and-toss) competition, Mon Hiding cloth, flag race, sack race, tug of war, shucking oyster contest. Sea boxing contest.

16  – 17 April 2017
Wan Lai Songkran Festival
Where: Bodhi Court, Na Kluea, Wat Chaimongkhon, Chon Buri
There are various activities in the festival such as sprinkle water on the elders, the parade, and enjoy splashing water among both locals and travelers.

21 – 23 April 2017
Phra Pradaeng Songkran Festival
Where: In front of  Prapadaeng district office , Samut Prakan
Watch Miss Songkran and Mister Loi Chai Contest, 13 car parades decorated with flowers, folk plays, Sabaraman or a pitch-and-toss game.
